South Luangwa National Park, located in eastern Zambia, is renowned for its pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife, offering encounters with elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species along the banks of the Luangwa River. Visitors can explore through guided safaris, including walking, game drives, and night drives. Luambe National Park, nestled between South Luangwa and North Luangwa National Parks, boasts rich biodiversity, with elephants, buffalo, antelopes, lions, and leopards roaming its riverine forests, grasslands, and hills. It offers an intimate safari experience away from crowds, ideal for nature immersion. North Luangwa National Park, in northern Zambia, is a remote wilderness teeming with wildlife, including dense populations of buffalo, lions, and wild dogs. It's a sanctuary for black rhinos, offering authentic safari experiences through guided walks, providing deeper connections with the African bush.

The price of this safari package includes two domestic flights from Lusaka KK Airport to Mfuwe and from Mfuwe to Livingstone.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Mfuwe, South Luangwa
After arrival at Lusaka KK airport you will be received by our local representative and you will fly on to Mfuwe. After arrival in Mfuwe you will be brought to your accommodation. This is a transfer of about 40 minutes on a fun and adventurous road that first takes you through the interesting habitats of the local population and along remote villages and small farms where everything is being grown. Once at South Luangwa NP you will be dropped off at the lodge. You will be welcomed by the host and after settle down and adopt the Luangwa Valley vibe you will be having a decent lunch and spend some time on the Luangwa River banks before you will be going for the exciting nightdrive in South Luangwa National Park. Overnight: Croc Valley Camp (fully inclusive).
Day 2, South Luangwa
The following day you have the opportunity to do more gamedrives or combine with some other activities like walking safari, village tours or spend time at your wonderfull accommodation. Activities in the village include visiting local community projects like Mulberry Mongoose, Project Luangwa and Tribal Textiles. You will be welcomed and guided and workshops can be booked in advance.
Day 3, Luambe National Park
We will start off early at dawn. Via a transfer by road and a game drive enroute we take you further north to the Luambe National Park with real remote bush accommodation. This park offers unparalleled access to extraordinary landscapes, where you’ll encounter iconic African wildlife in their natural habitat. The lodge is consisting of challets or tents with a view over the river. An adventurous environment in the middle of the bush. On the way to Luambe National Park you will already be treated to encouters with wildlife and fantastic landscapes. Overnight: Luambe Camp (full board + activities).
Day 4, 5 North Luangwa National Park
We start the day with a nice walk along the riverbank and breathtaking views with wildlife and birds morning calls. After a proper breakfast we will take you further on a enroute drive to the North Luangwa National Park. After crossing the pontoon we will drive across the park and arrive at Samala camp. Here you are sure to get up close and personal with elephants, buffalo and impala but, well-known for lion, wild dog, Cookson‘s wildebeest and Crayshaw’s zebra, North Luangwa is a must-see for the serious safari-goer here. And here we will visit the Kapamba Waterfalls on the Munyamadzi River, close to its source, are spectacular and can be reached within a 60 min drive, followed by a lovely 2-hour trail walk (local guide needed and can be arranged). Overnight: Samala camp (fully inclusive).
Day 6, North to South Luangwa
We start off early to take a long and wild journey from North Luangwa to South Luangwa. We will stop at several interesting viewpoints to rest and move on into Mfuwe where we spend the night at Wildlife camp on the banks of the Luangwa river. Undust yourself with proper showers, in the pool and have a relax sundowner and share your experiences on the campfire. Overnight: Wildlife camp (fully inclusive).
Day 7 Departure
During the day you will be taken to the airport for your flight back to your country.
