A night drive in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia offers a unique opportunity to witness the beauty and diversity of African wildlife. During the night, the park transforms into a different world with intense sounds and activity from nocturnal animals like leopards and bushbabies. Visitors sit in an open-top vehicle equipped with powerful lights to spot and admire the animals in their natural habitat. Guides point out features of interest and explain the behavior of the wildlife. The stillness of the night is often broken by the calls of hyenas, the rustling of leaves, and the distant roar of lions. The park's towering trees cast long shadows in the vehicle's headlights, creating a stunning atmosphere. The night drive offers a chance to see animals like elephants, buffalos, and predators that are often more elusive during the day. A night drive in South Luangwa National Park is a thrilling and unforgettable experience. Enjoy your own guide and private vehicle with complete freedom. Our safaris are 100% private. We collect clients from all lodges in and within Mfuwe. You will be collected at your Lodge between 15:45 & 16:00 pm. After 2 hours safari we will have our sundowner at a nice spot along the Luangwa River or lagoons. The drive will continue until 20:00, when guests will be returned to the lodge. Sundowner at Luangwa river
After 2 hours safari we will have our famous sundowner at the riverbanks where guests can enjoy the breathtaking sunset at the Luangwa river. Snacks and drinks are included.
Spotter with torch
South Luangwa comes to life after sunset. We will bring a spotter with a torch on Safari to increase the sightings in the darkness.
Private Safari vehicle
Private Safari vehicle with fuel is Included. Guest will be collected and returned to their lodge in open safari vehicles.
Trip Itinerary
15:45 AM - Shuttle Pickup
Make sure you are ready to be picked from your accommodation at 15:45 in the afternoon
16:00 AM - Arrive at National Park Gate
Guest can stay in the vehicle whilst we register everybody at the main gate.
16:00 - 18:00 AM – Game drive
The guide will explore various lagoons, riverbanks and lookout points to look for animals.
18:00 - 18:30 AM – Sundowner
After 2 hours safari we will have our sundowner break at the lagoon or riverbanks.
18:30 - 20:00 AM – Game drive
We will continue our Game Drive whilst slowly heading towards the main gate.
20:00 - 20:15 AM – Return to the lodge
Around 20:00 we will drive out of the park and return the guest to their accommodation.

Zambia Wildlife Authority Pricing Guide
Prices are per person per day. All entrance fees are payable directly to South Luangwa National Park. All fees are only payable in cash so make sure you have it ready at the park entrance gate. We will guide you.
